Acid-base homeostasis disorders that are frequently encountered in the daily practice of physicians and life-threatening condition when can not be managed well. Effective mechanism of acid-base homeostasis and understanding of disorders that occur in the homeostasis and management are issues that need to have advanced knowledge of each physician. In this review, we aim to present the factors that play role in the acid-base balance, homeostasis disruption causes and treatment approaches.
