ABSTRACT

Invasive aspergillosis (IA) is an infectious disease caused by Aspergillus species, is usually seen in patients with immune deficiency and has been associated with high mortality rate. IA most commonly affects the lungs, but Aspergillus can also spread throughout the body and cause infection in other organs. Voriconazole is the first-line antifungal agent in the treatment of invasive aspergillosis. Other antifungal agents including isavuconazole, lipid amphotericin formulations, itraconazole, caspofungin, micafungin, and posaconazole can be used to treat IA in patients who can not take voriconazole or who have not responded to voriconazole. In this article, the treatment of invasive aspergillosis was reviewed.
